It’s no secret that every good dog owner just wants what’s best for their pet and in some cases, that’s bringing them to Paws & Claws doggy daycare in Battle Creek! Whether you’re going on vacation, have a business trip, or need to be away from home for any other reasons, we can help. And, in this post, we will discuss what you should consider when choosing a doggy daycare for your four-legged friend.

What is your impression of the facility?

It’s a great idea to visit the doggy daycare before committing to it. You will be able to see what’s available to your dog and how clean and hygienic the facility is. You will also get to meet and talk to the staff that will be taking care of your dog. You need to ask yourself, “Do I think my dog will be happy and comfortable here while I am away?” Are there enough comfortable places for them to lay? Are there stimulating toys and activities for them? Is there enough room? Are they able to run and play? Is there an outdoor area?

Does the facility require vaccinations?

You should not take your dog to a doggy daycare unless there is a requirement that all dogs are vaccinated, especially from canine kennel cough or Bordetella. There is nothing worse than the feeling of putting your dog’s health in jeopardy.

At Paws & Claws, we love dogs so much we decided to expand on our successful dog grooming salon and add a dog boarding / doggy daycare in Battle Creek. If you would like to see photos from in and outside of our facility, click here. And, if you have any questions, do not hesitate to give us a call!
